What is Reiki?

Reiki is powerful in its ability to relax, ease pain, release stress, increase sleep quality, and balance the body.

Reiki is a Japanese word meaning "life force energy." During our Reiki session, I will channel the life force energy and transmit it to you, in order to release energy blockages and bring you back into balance: mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually, allowing your inner light to shine through.

I practice 30 minutes of self-Reiki meditation every day to maintain a healthy, balanced life and boost the flow of this energy when I am practicing healing on others.

What to expect?

Your first treatment with me will include an introductory consultation, during which we will discuss the information you’ve provided on your intake form. I will answer any questions before the treatment begins.

You’ll be asked to make yourself comfortable on the treatment table at the time scheduled. During the treatment you will remain fully clothed, with shoes removed, under a blanket. Based on your unique needs and intention setting, I will blend Reiki with one hand chosen pure essential oil blend and a crystal.

Your comfort is my top priority, guiding the flow of the session. Just before we start, feel free to share any concerns or issues you may have.

What do I need to do or bring?

It’s advisable to wear loose, comfortable clothing and to avoid alcohol before a treatment. Apart from these simple steps, your main task is to unwind and let the energy and healing take care of the rest.

How will I feel during the treatment?

The experience is unique to each individual, you may feel a wave of relaxation and tranquillity come over you as your mind settles down. Whether sleeping, awake, or between states, you will still feel the benefits of your treatment.

Depending on where my hands are placed, you might sense warmth or coolness as energy flows through, although it's perfectly normal to not feel these sensations too. You may feel tingles or twitches, colours, meaningful images and occasionally, you might find yourself taking a deep breath, coughing, sighing, or even releasing a tear. This is a sign the blocked energy is being released from your body.

You may not feel anything out of the ordinary which is okay; the energy is still flowing.

How will I feel after the treatment?

After a Reiki session, you'll usually feel relaxed, and you may feel tired as your body works to heal and eliminate toxins. The cleansing process can affect individuals differently. Most often, people leave feeling deeply relaxed, and rejuvenated.

It's not unusual to experience mild headaches, and you may notice suppressed emotions resurfacing. This is entirely normal and, in fact, a positive sign — it indicates the release of toxins from both your physical and metaphysical self. These sensations will pass with time.

I recommend that you drink lots of water to help the body to flush out toxins, no major physical exertion for 24 hours.

When will I notice results?

Many clients experience relief after just one session, while others may require multiple sessions to witness improvement in deeply rooted issues. Some individuals find the relaxation and tranquillity so rewarding that they schedule regular sessions for their general well-being.

Are you qualified to perform Reiki?

Yes, I am certified as a second degree practitioner of Reiki. I received attunements and trained in the Usuai system which was founded by Mikao Usuai. I am a certified member of the UK Reiki Federation.
